May the sky and earth become a flag

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a call made on his social media accounts, marked the October 29 Republic Day and 100th anniversary celebrations, calling for “the sky and earth to be filled with flags.” The giant Turkish flag hung on the Adana July 15 Martyrs Bridge seemed to echo Erdoğan's call...

Ahmet Ertuğ, who came to Adana to watch the events, will capture this important day in photographs for posterity.

OPENED IN APRIL

The bridge, built by Metgün İnşaat, was opened to service last April with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.

The 6-lane bridge, which is 1,699 meters long and consists of 27 spans, also includes a 2-track railway.
