President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced at the opening ceremony of Çukurova International Airport that the 15 July Martyrs Bridge, which opened last year in Adana, broke a record with 18 million vehicles crossing it within a year. Built by Metgün İnşaat, the 15 July Martyrs Bridge, Turkey's fourth longest bridge, connecting the east and west of Adana, attracted attention with its success.

The bridge built over the Seyhan River has a total of six lanes, with three lanes in each direction. Inaugurated in April 2023 by President Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the bridge is referred to as Adana's “Pearl Necklace.” Erdoğan emphasized the bridge's success, noting that this project has made a significant contribution to transportation in Adana.

The bridge set a record not only for vehicle traffic but also for the amount of steel used in its construction. Built using enough steel to construct five more Eiffel Towers, the bridge also holds another record: the 1,700-meter giant Turkish flag hung on it during the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
